We continue telling about #cities_in_the_rear. Today, we feature Chortkiv, a city in Ternopil Oblast.
- Since the beginning of the war, Ternopil Oblast has become a refuge for people forced to leave their homes and move to relatively safe regions of Ukraine. In different months, about 100,000 registered IDPs live there. More: https://bit.ly/3KiBw2Z
- In the city, a large-scale reconstruction is underway, aiming to turn premises into apartments for people who fled the war and found shelter in the community. The project’s main goal is the integration of people who lost everything because of the war and are starting a new life in Chortkiv. More: https://bit.ly/3jZecfU
- The Chortkiv community joined the Coalition of Integrity Communities. Integrity is the basis of work for partner communities. More: https://bit.ly/3Sc30cs
- During the cycle of Christmas holidays, the children of Chortkiv were actively caroling. Throughout the month, many children brought the money they saved to the operative headquarters under the Chortkiv City Council. With this money, our volunteers purchased a military drone. - In June 2022, at a session of the Chortkiv City Council, members supported the decision to rename three streets in the city, the names of which related to the aggressor country. More: https://bit.ly/3Sc3Aa8
