Cities in rear: Ivano-Frankivsk

The city has become a refuge for thousands of internally displaced persons and helps everyone in need.

According to official data, as of 25.03, 22,470 internally displaced persons have registered in the Ivano-Frankivsk hromada. Now, European cities are focusing great efforts to help Ukraine. Over the past month, Ivano-Frankivsk received 26 humanitarian supplies from Poland. Assistance comes from Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Romania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, free offline courses of the Ukrainian language have been launched. In the first day alone, 120 people registered! The Russian language among Ukrainians will be associated with the occupiers for a long time, so everyone can work on their language skills.

To help entrepreneurs who are forced to relocate their business to Ivano-Frankivsk and the oblast in war conditions, a special website has been launched. It contains general information that will help facilitate the process of relocating business from different parts of Ukraine to Ivano-Frankivsk.

In the first days since the beginning of the war, the Department of Social policy organized work on providing food assistance to persons with disabilities, people in difficult life circumstances, residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk city territorial community.

Social canteens have been opened in Ivano-Frankivsk. Anyone in need can buy lunch at a social price there.

The city resumes courses on shooting in school shooting ranges. Training is provided primarily for women. “Because the enemies must feel that residents of our country are not happy to see them. Not only a man, but also a woman will shoot from each window,” mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv said during a video message to residents of Ivano-Frankivsk.

The mayor of the city also helps cities that are in difficulty, previously he came under fire in Chernihiv region, where he went on a humanitarian mission. Our cities are strong! #разом_переможемо
