The "Transparent Cities" program can help your city - fill out the questionnaire

We conduct surveys with city councils to help them overcome the challenges of war.

Following the full-scale Russian invasion, the Transparent Cities team of Transparency International Ukraine adapted and restructured its operations. We have focused our efforts on being as useful as possible to Ukraine and making cities stronger.

With the financial support of the European Union, we launched the Emergency Support Fund for Cities, which supported Izium, Kupiansk, Kherson, Lyman, Pokrov, Chernihiv, Chuhuiv, and Lviv. More than a million hryvnias were used to purchase generators, electric heaters, power banks, laptops, and other necessary equipment for arranging heating points and supporting citizens.

We continue to support the capacity of local governments. In times of ongoing challenges and instability, we're pretty sure we need the friendly support of those who can lend a hand. This is why our team initiated this effort and manages the entire process of helping cities, from developing a questionnaire to overseeing the delivery.

Transparent Cities announces the launch of a survey on what needs to be covered to overcome the challenges of war.

QUESTIONNAIRE

Our team will process the answers to understand how we can help establish the work of local governments, protect the locals and internally displaced persons (IDPs), and prepare the city for the 2023/2024 heating season. For example, we can purchase generators and charging stations for the arrangement of heating points or shelters, computer equipment (laptops) to provide services to people, and so on.

To provide further clarity on the survey findings, the Transparent Cities manager of regional partnerships will get in touch with the designated contacts. Priority will be given to municipalities:

  • from the list of 100 cities participating in TI Ukraine transparency rankings;
  • close to the front line;
  • with a high degree of destruction;
  • de-occupied municipalities that have been under occupation for more than 6 months.

The survey will continue until 6.00 PM, May 31, 2023.

A mandatory precondition for receiving assistance will be an official request from the local government body, and in the future — the drawn-up delivery-acceptance acts.

If you have any additional questions, please contact transparent-cities@ti-ukraine.org

The survey is conducted within the project “Transparent Cities: E-Platform for Cooperation of Citizens and Local Governments for Accountability and Good Governance,” implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
