What's new in the cities? Regional News Digest #9

That is our second digest this year, and there is already so much to boast about, as if the cities never thought to rest! Let's see together what they will surprise us with this time.

Ternopil successfully implemented all 23 winning projects of the “Public Budget 2021” and developed the Interactive Map of the protective structures’ location

During the regular, twelfth session of the Ternopil City Council, the report on the implementation of the “Public Budget 2021” projects that won the vote was heard. Thus, for the “Public budget 2021,” 131 projects were submitted, and 84 of them were accepted for voting.

23 projects won for a total amount of UAH 13,584,155.95. Their implementation lasted for a year. And all of them have already been implemented, isn't that a success?

In addition, the city presented an interactive map of the location of protective structures. Now, there are 92 protective constructions in the territory of the community, including 55 storage facilities and 37 anti-radiation shelters, as well as 127 simple shelters. The other available online maps can be found on the Ternopil City Council website in the “E–Services” section.

Mukachevo has launched a service aimed at reducing the risk of accidents on the road

A widget that generates statistics on the number and type of traffic violations, the average speed of cars in the city, and fuel consumption have appeared on the Mukachevo Сity Council portal.

This data can help solve the problems with traffic, installing additional signs at the emergency sections, or construct new road junctions.

Moreover, the web application “Parking Mukachevo,” for automation of control over compliance with the rules of stopping, parking, and parking of vehicles, was launched on the site.

A core network of a “smart” city built in Kyiv

Each district of Kyiv is covered by a network of a “smart” city. The network of supporting stations with wireless technology and long-range communication is called LoRaWAN. Currently, there are 295 such stations in the city.

These locations will be equipped with sensors. They will be installed on gas pipelines, water pipes, and electric switchboards and connected to the global network. It is necessary to control air quality, free places for parking, or garbage disposal in Kyiv.

Kyiv has become the first city in Ukraine that launched such a system.

In Drohobych, investment objects of the local community will be presented at the regional marketplace

A regional investment marketplace has been presented in the Lviv region — a new electronic platform, where the investment passport of the Lviv region and investment-attractive objects and land plots are presented.

The site will collect information on vacant land plots, investment-attractive property objects in the Lviv region, integral property complexes or their parts, and mineral resources, which are in the state, municipal, or even private property.

Not only municipal, but also private property is published on the platform. Currently, nine investment sites of the Drohobych community are published on the platform.

Lviv has updated interactive map of shelters

An interactive updated shelter map was created for residents of the Lviv territorial community in the city hall. This map is interactive and there are about 6,000 shelters now.

Mayor Andrii Sadovyi assures that there will be enough shelters for all residents to stay safe in an emergency. The shelters are in the basements of houses and shopping centers.

E-tickets are now available in Khmelnytskyi

Now you can use the electronic ticket on Khmelnytskyi trolleybuses. To do this, the owner of the usual e-ticket should activate the appropriate option in their private account. The cost of the pass per month is UAH 215. The money deducted at the first validation and the number of trips during the month will not be limited.
