Khmelnytskyi

Victory in international “Open Government Partnership (OGP) Local Innovation Awards” and improving the level of investment attractiveness

Earlier, three Ukrainian cities — Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia — passed the difficult qualifying round and were included into the list of the few cities in the world which received membership in the platform for joining the local self-government OGP Local. This year, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi competed for the award for achievements at the local level and took the lead. Khmelnytskyi won the international OGP Local Innovation Awards, while Vinnytsia came third. A fresh IВI-rating shows investment attractiveness of Khmelnytskyi has grown to the InvAA level, and that is an excellent indicator. The activity of local authorities in improving the investment climate and enterprise development, as well as qualitative changes in the work of local self-government representatives with investors, contributed to this.

Zaporizhzhia

Launch of a digital service for people hard-of-hearing

The new online service allows visitors hard-of-hearing to get better quality services and communicate with the specialists of the Administrative Services Center (ASC) without interference. The service was put into practice by representatives of the city authorities together with an organization public movement “Social Unity”. The online service is an interactive application that works in online mode. The application is installed on a tablet. If necessary, the administrator of the ASC activates the application and there is a video communication with a sign-language interpreter, who is a mediator between the visitor and the administrator in real time.

Ivano-Frankivsk

The executive committee of the Сity Council has successfully passed the re-certification audit

Ivano-Frankivsk is actively working to be rightfully called a city of open government. Back in 2008, the city introduced a system of quality control and, together with Lutsk and Vinnytsia, took a course on increasing the efficiency of activities of executive authorities and providing quality administrative services to the population. According to the results of the audit by international experts, the activities of the executive committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council in the sphere of providing administrative services were considered to meet the requirements of the international standard. In addition, positive dynamics of growth of population's satisfaction with the work of executive bodies of the City Council and growth of positive image of the city are noted. Ivano-Frankivsk has received a new international quality certificate.

Vinnytsia

Launch of the project of the municipal center of innovations

Large-scale reconstruction of industrial park “Crystal” has started in Vinnytsia. The innovative and technological park will occupy three floors of the former factory – 8,500 square meters of space. A municipal business-incubator will be created on its basis, which will include: an IT-school, a Fab Lab laboratory for start-ups, a training center for adults, children's techno-center, a co-working room, more than 100 classic and club offices, conference halls. The total investment in the project is UAH 23 mln, of which UAH 8.5 mln is planned to be taken from the community budget and the rest from the national budget.

Odesa

Launch of the interactive online map of the city development

The official website of the Odesa City Council has published an online map of checks on construction facilities. The functionality of the map allows to check: the type of work carried out by the customer, who act as a customer of the construction, designer, general contractor, performs designer and technical supervision of construction, what documents the developer has for the land plot, urban conditions and restrictions, data on the examination of projects, as well as issued permits, the results of the inspection by experts of Odesa State Academy of Architecture and Construction, and recommendations of specialists, data on inspections, commission inspections, as well as restrictions imposed by the court, a list of measures carried out on the results of the work.

Kryvyi Rih

Launch of the information resource of history and culture monuments

An electronic information resource “Sights of history and culture, monuments and memorials” was launched on the official portal of Kryvyi Rih “Kryvyi Rih Resource Center.” Users can find detailed information on each object of historical and cultural heritage (name, address, year of installation, historical and audio information). Residents can find the object by administrative district, key word, or street name. The information can be viewed by installing the “My Kryvyi Rih – Smart City” application.

Drohobych

Development of civic tech tools

The “Assistance in implementation of digital technologies in the process of interaction between the community and local authorities in the Drohobych and Novovolynska Amalgamated Territorial Community” project was launched in Drohobych. This project is relevant to people who do not use digital products due to their lack of basic knowledge and skills of the latest technologies. The goal is to make it easier for these groups to receive services online, to improve communication between citizens and authorities, and to promote public engagement in the process of decision-making at the local level.

Lviv

Realization of municipal property through Prozorro.Sale for UAH 60 mln

Lviv became the leader among other cities of Ukraine for the receipt of funds from small-scale privatization through the auction system Prozorro.Sale. In January, the city received UAH 20 mln thanks to the transparent auctions, and at the beginning of 2021, the city received over UAH 60 mln.
