Ukrainian #cities_in_the_rear continue to work in a coordinated manner and support our country. Today in our column, we will talk about Novovolynsk.
- Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 9,000 internally displaced people have been registered in the Novovolynsk community. For some IDPs, Novovolynsk has become a reliable outpost before going abroad. However, more than 6,500 IDPs remain in the city.
- Novovolynsk has been working for victory since the first day of the war. It helps our defenders on the front line. It supports Ukrainian cities that have been destroyed. - The city became a participant in two projects to build housing for IDPs. The first one is from the Presidential Office, and the Volyn RMA, funded by the state budget, and the second one is funded by foreign organizations. https://bit.ly/3iNclu3

- Novovolynsk supported a draft decision to rename 36 streets that were named after Soviet figures. They also decided to dismantle Soviet symbols in the city center. Read more: https://bit.ly/3QRfLs0
- The city council is actively engaged in helping relocated businesses. Currently, PET bottle recycling and garment production companies are registered and operating in Novovolynsk, and an IT business has been established, as well as a café, a nail salon, and other private businesses relocated from the hot spots of Ukraine.
