19WE invite journalists and activists to presentation of the study results on the transparency rating of 100 Ukrainian cities in Odesa. It will be held on July 24th, 10:00 to 12:00 at Impact Hub Odesa at Grecheska Street, 1a. The study was conducted by Transparency International Ukraine with the support of the Institute for Political Education.
Odesa is the 40th in the ranking with 33 points for transparency from 100 possible. The rating was developed by a team of analysts and is based on 91 indicators in 13 areas. Areas of budgeting, land use, personnel policy, procurement, availability of online services and others were researched. As the city is one of the most powerful tourist destinations and shopping centers in Ukraine, the level of transparency is expected to be higher than in other places.
What actions do activists and local authorities perform to make the city more open? What areas should be improved and what are the leading areas? Will Odesa be able in the top ten in near future? These and other issues will be discussed at our event.
The rating is presented by:
Kateryna Tsybenko, Project Manager Building Transparent Cities in Ukraine;
Anatolii Boyko, representative of the public partnership Transparent local budgets;
A representative of the Odessa City Council has been invited.
